A round up of some fun upcoming nerdy themed shows! Here are a few events in Seattle and beyond over the next two weekends that seem to be talking nerdy to me.

Worlds’ End Burlesque Revue
An Evening Inspired by the Works of Neil Gaiman

“The tales involve a goddess, Beldam and her doll, the heart of a blue box, a young woman who is far older than she appears, an enslaved faerie, the very essence of dreams personified, and more”
June 21st to 22nd and 28th to 29th at the Re-Bar Seattle, Washington

Fun Fact, back in 2011 I sent a secret list of local burlesque performers to a special secret person who was setting up a special secret surprise for Mr. Gaiman. That resulted in this birthday treat from his lovely wife Amanda Palmer. In some small way one can say I helped give Neil the greatest gift of all, the gift of burlesque!

Accio Burlesque!
A Burlesque Tribute to Harry Potter

“Something magical is about to happen at Annex Theatre. Return to Hogwarts with a burlesque tribute to the world of Harry Potter. From witches and wizards to magical beasts, Accio Burlesque! summons all of the things we love most about J.K. Rowling’s iconic novels (and the films they inspired) and reimagines them through the art of the tease.”
Friday, June 28th and Saturday, June 29th at the Annex Theater, Seattle, Washington

Geekenders’ The Files Are In the Computer
A Tron themed geek event that includes trivia, burlesque, and performances by the Ultraviolets (black light burlesque from Maui).
Saturday June 29th at the Cellar Night Club, Vancouver British Columbia

Drawn This Way
“Dallas’s newest burlesque production, Clever Girl Cabaret, takes the stage on June 29th, 2013, with a comic book and animation inspired burlesque showcase, “Drawn This Way”. Clever Girl Cabaret will feature some of the best burlesque tributes to Tex Avery, Wonder Woman, Bettie Page, Poison Ivy, Scooby Doo and many more!”
Saturday June 29th at the Quixotic World in Dallas, Texas. stiletto
